Comhairle nan Eilean Siar has appointed Mrs Annag Maclean as Headteacher of Castlebay Community School in Barra.

Mrs Maclean previously held the post of Depute Headteacher (Primary) at the 170 pupil school.

Plans are underway for the appointment of a Depute Headteacher (Secondary) for the school.
