Employees at Comhairle nan Eilean Siar have a unique opportunity to give their views on working for the Comhairle in the largest staff survey ever undertaken by the local authority.

Survey questionnaires are being sent to the home addresses of all employees of the Comhairle this week.

Chief Executive Malcolm Burr said: “This survey represents the first attempt ever by the Comhairle to gauge the opinion of all our employees in a comprehensive way. There have been big changes in local government and at Comhairle nan Eilean Siar in particular. It is important that we get a picture of what employees think about working for the Comhairle. The information will be used to draw up an action plan on the major issues that arise.”

The survey is being conducted by Ipsos MORI, an independent research company.

The survey is completely anonymous and confidential, with Ipsos MORI guaranteeing that no information will be analysed in such a way as to allow individuals to be identified.
