Performance Management
To enable Comhairle nan Eilean Siar to report its performance more effectively, the Comhairle has developed plans that set out its priorities and objectives; areas in which it could do better; the results it wants to achieve and the actions required to achieve these results.
The Comhairle’s Corporate Strategy 2007/11 identifies its priorities and strategic objectives; the Single Outcome Agreement 2009/10 specifies the Scottish Government’s national outcomes and local Community Planning Partners’ local outcomes; and Service Business Plans 2011/2012 set out the Comhairle’s proposals and actions to deliver on these. Central to this in terms of integration is Interplan, the Comhairle’s online performance management and reporting system.
An important aspect of performance management is the development of Public Performance Reportingto enable the Comhairle to inform the public about its performance throughout the year, thus ensuring greater accountability and transparency.
